Psychotherapy Fee and Policies

How do we get started?

We meet for two-four consultation sessions of 50 minutes each to explore if we are a good fit and to discuss the areas that will be the focus of our work, Following the consultation sessions, if we choose to work together, we agree on a meeting cadence. The standard session fee applies for consultation sessions.

What is your fee?

I charge INR 3,000 for a 50-minute session from people residing in India and USD 75 from people living outside India. I am open to lowering the fee for individuals working with me in-person or twice a week, in order to reach a mutually meaningful amount that addresses any affordability concerns. Session fee increases by 10% every year. I hope this figure represents a meaningful contribution you can make towards your personal development.

Where do we meet?

We meet on Zoom Video or my home-clinic in Shivalik, Malviya Nagar, South Delhi.

Do we meet weekly?

If we decide to work together, we will select one or two weekly time slots (e.g., Tuesdays at 3:00 PM) for our regular meetings. I typically recommend meeting twice a week for 50 minutes each. For those opting for once-weekly therapy, I suggest a session length of 75 or 60 minutes to facilitate meaningful conversation (a pro-rated fee applies for longer sessions). I will reserve these weekly slot(s) for you indefinitely until we mutually agree to end therapy. Each month, I charge the full session fee for every slot in which I was available.

What is your cancelation policy?

All missed sessions are fully payable till we discontinue therapy. Think of it like a gym membership—you pay for the right to attend, regardless of attendance. Reschedules are only sometimes possible. Short planned breaks from the therapy cadence (totalling to 3-4 weeks of breaks annually) may be taken without payment.

What if I need to talk between sessions?

Communications between sessions only relate to scheduling or cancelation. All other communications are held within our session time.

’I’m unsure if you work with people like me or the kind of issues I have.

Due to limitations of my training and lack of a hospital setup, I do not work with individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia or with a history of psychotic or manic episodes.

I have many dark things about me or in my past.

I would encourage you to speak as freely as you can about these in psychotherapy, including aspects of your personality that may not be socially acceptable. As long as they don’t breach confidentiality limitations, I am trained and committed to working with you psychotherapeutically

Are sessions confidential?

Sessions are fully confidential with only two exceptions:
1.) Client discloses concrete plans to physically harm themselves or others, in which case I may break confidentiality to ensure safety
2) Client is presently engaging in child or elder abuse, in which case I will be compelled to report them.
